The manual updates of our scanner solution by our partners are history. Our new auto-update has been successfully tested!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The process before auto-update<\/h2>\n

Our partners manually updated autoscan<\/strong> on their customers\u2019 on-premises installations: They connected to the customer\u2019s server to download and install the update. Then they checked if the new version runs without any problems. This took 10 to 20 minutes.<\/p>\n

The new auto-update process<\/h2>\n

Instead of installing the newest version of autoscan<\/strong>, servers receive an installer which will make sure that updates are downloaded automatically!<\/p>\n

In the partner portal, our partners simply specify if and when a new version for a customer needs to be downloaded. The installer retrieves this information and installs the requested version.<\/p>\n

Afterwards, the installer does a functional check and sends a notification if it finds a problem.<\/p>\n

The advantages<\/h2>\n

First<\/strong>, our partners will save time because they don\u2019t need to do manual updates anymore.<\/p>\n

Secondly<\/strong>, the update doesn\u2019t have to take place during working hours \u2013 there will be no maintenance window during which autoscan<\/strong> can\u2019t be used. Instead, the installer is working while everyone else is asleep!<\/p>\n

Thirdly<\/strong>, the auto-update we will make sure that the customer always uses the latest autoscan<\/strong> version \u2013 which will lead to less maintenance for our partners and for us!<\/p>\n
