autoscan’s new look: We are redesigning our scanner solution!
A refined interface, a better user experience, and a new feature coming in 2026.
Over the last few months, we’ve been working on an improved look and feel for our scanner solution. Here’s a first sneak preview of what’s coming!
Why are we redesigning autoscan?
First, we now have experience from thousands of installations.
In real-life use, our scanner solution often has to handle data that is longer than anticipated – like really, really long item names. A lot of information appears on the screen, which can make the display feel crowded and a bit confusing.
So we sat down with our designer and explored how to improve both the look and the usability. We rethought every little piece of information on the screen, cleaned it up and optimized the way data is presented.
We also made sure that the effects of actions are more visible and introduced a bunch of transitions and animations.
And another improvement: The displayed data now looks good no matter how much the font size is increased.
Second, we are currently working on a new feature – item tracking!
This new feature changes quite a few things in the user interface throughout our scanner solution. So why not rethink the whole experience while we’re at it?
When will the shiny new autoscan be available?
We are currently finishing the changes in the “Incoming Goods” feature (see video above). As soon as we are done, we will invite a few selected customers to test the new version and share their feedback with us.
Once everyone’s happy, we will offer the update to all partners and direct customers. We plan to start with “Incoming Goods” at the beginning of 2026. From then on, we’ll release monthly updates for additional features – including Stocking, Picking, Physical Inventory, and more.
