Lot tracking is essential for many industries, as it ensures transparency across the supply chain. It supports compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, enables professional recall management, and helps minimize liability and risk.
That’s why we are currently working at full speed to integrate this important feature into our scanner solution, autoscan.
The new feature will be available to all customers using the ERP system Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Additional ERP systems that support lot tracking can be connected on request.
First step: lot tracking in goods receipt
As a first step, we are implementing lot tracking in our Goods Receipt module. This will allow users to record a lot or select an existing, predefined lot at the time the goods are received.
We will soon begin the testing phase of this module with selected customers. Once this phase has been successfully completed, the feature will be rolled out.
Gradual rollout in additional modules
Integration into further modules will follow gradually (together with the design update described in our last article).
That said, elements of lot tracking can already be found in autoscan today. For example, the Picking module already includes a lot display, and lot information is also taken into account during relocation.
