autoscan gets even better: new start page, new menu!

When revamping our scanner solution, we ask ourselves ONE key question: What do our users truly need?

Our aim has always been to make our autoscan scanner solution as easy and intuitive to use as possible. To this day, we tirelessly refine and hone it to enhance your experience with our app!

Recently, we’ve focused on two specific areas for improvement: The app’s start page and its menu.

What makes the new start page better?

Our goal with the new start page was simple: displaying all essential information on the scanner screen without needing to scroll.

With a heavy heart, we bade farewell to our beloved logo at the top of the screen. It was a tough decision, but let’s be honest: The logo isn’t what matters most if you’re looking to swiftly complete tasks with our scanner solution. So long, logo! Your new home is at the bottom.

In place of the logo, users now see their name, the client’s name, and the warehouse location used by autoscan – ensuring that the right person is at the right place!

This is followed by the usual information. The new, additional “scan now” prompt indicates that users can start scanning immediately, without having to navigate the menu.

Why a new menu?

Over the course of time, the menu had become cluttered and ungainly. So we decided to tidy it up, putting the most important features for our users at the top.

Additionally, general information like the version number has been visually separated from the rest of the menu.

Et voilà, the menu is now neat and organized!
