Our warehouse scanners now come with device management!

Less work for our partners and customers: All necessary settings and downloads are done automatically on our new scanners!

Starting with the new Seuic AUTOID10 model, all scanners delivered by us will be equipped with a new, proprietary device management system.

This makes it even easier to start working with autoscan, our warehouse scanner solution!

What the device management automatically does for you

  • All settings are configured (e.g. setting up sounds or disabling the lock screen).
  • Scanner-specific settings are adjusted (e.g. how codes are read).
  • Necessary apps are installed and automatically configured (e.g. TeamViewer for remote support).
  • The so-called kiosk mode is activated, ensuring that our scanner solution autoscan cannot be exited without permission or by accident.

The advantages of our new device management

  1. Scanner supervisors – whether partners or customers – save time by not having to set up their warehouse scanners.
  2. Annoying issues or maintenance cases due to incorrect settings are eliminated.
  3. Future settings changes on the scanner will be done automatically.
  4. A list of their devices with device management is available to our partners and customers.
  5. Additionally, partners or customers can also use our TeamViewer app on these devices – we got an extended license for that!

Why we developed our own device management

There are several device management solutions on the market and we looked at all of them. However, not one met our expectations and fulfilled all our requirements (especially in terms of value for money).

Moreover, we would have had to commit to a solution we could not very easily have “gotten rid of” in the future. If we had ever wanted to change the device management, we would have had to physically pick up all the scanners again – and that is not an easy task with customers in almost 20 countries!

So what did we do? Since we are passionate software developers, we simply developed our own suitable solution!

After delivery and checking the devices, all we need to do is scan a QR code. This starts the setup process, and the device is ready for use in just a minute. Equipped with our autoscan scanner solution, the devices are sent to our customers or partners – where they can be immediately used!
