Tip: Scanned the wrong parcel code again? Here’s how to scan the right one!
Quite often, parcels show different codes. With our simple trick, you will always scan only the code you need right away!
These days, the outsides of parcels are plastered with all kinds of barcodes and QR codes. Only one of them is relevant to you, but your scanner keeps catching one of the other codes so you have to try several times. Sounds familiar?
This can get tedious, especially with a large number of items!
How we solved our code problem
We experienced the same with OUR scanners. We receive these scanners, install autoscan for our customers and deliver them ready to use.
There are four codes on the scanner boxes: two QR codes and two barcodes. We only need the serial number code. Of course, it’s right in the middle and so close to the other codes that you can’t just cover them with your fingers.
So we scanned and scanned over and over again – until we got fed up and had an epiphany: Why not just make a cardboard template that covers all the codes we don’t need?
We cut out the template in no time, making scanning super easy.
